The city basketball championship between the youth teams of 1995 year has been holding from the 6th till the 20th of April, in which participated six schools: school в„– 21, school в„– 33, collegiums В«BerehynjaВ», school в„– 9 and school в„– 5. As a result the winner of the championship became the team of the 33d school. The main aim of the championship was the selection of the players to the combined team of 1995 year, which will play on the region championship, after which the youth team will be formed, which will represent Cherkaser region on the Ukrainian youth basketball competitions in their age.

The players of the school teams, which took part in the finished city championship, came on the court for the first time for playing official games and such experience became for fifteen best selected players the first step to the professional basketball. There will be formed the combined team of the city, which will represent Cherkasy on the region competitions.
