"Fortecja-90" won silver

On the 17-19 of April the final of the Ukrainian youth basketball league among the boys of 1990 year was spent, in which Cherkaser young team “Fortecja-90” struggled for the first place.
Cherkaser spent two games with “Khimik” from Juzhne and BC “Azovmash-90”.

"Fortecja-90" is a very young team, age of which is only 7 months. Cherkaser came out to the teams which took part in the UYBL among the boys of 1990 year; Cherkaser became the leaders of the championship, after winning the silver in the final. Our team left behind the collectives formed in the traditional basketball centers of Ukraine: Dnipropetrovsk, Juzhnij, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhja and Kyjiv.
Silver is the great merit of the players, coaches of the team. We must admit that individual services of the young basketball players deserve especial attention. Bandush Dmytro is awarded as the best player of the season. The top scorer of the final became Barbul Maksym, which brought the team 29 points. The coach of "Fortecja-90" Kopylov V. I., distinguished five players, which made the greatest contribution into result of the team: Barbul Maksym, Bandush Dmytro, Agarkov Denys, Gorbatjuk Maksym, Trenihin Vladyslav and Kozlovets Maksym. By the way these players of “Fortecja" became the basis of the Cherkaser team of major league.
